Unfortunately, we haven't experienced a shuttle launch yet but we are keeping our fingers crossed. The one scheduled for October has been postponed until February and there is another scheduled for April 1st.
Julie and Steve (Cindy's sister and brother-in-law) from Colorado were here for a visit this weekend. The weather cooperated some and we spent 2 days at Kennedy Space Center (incredible!).
We even had a surprise rocket launch one morning!
We have made some improvements to our site / home since we arrived....as well as decorated for the holidays. Even though this is not permanent, we've found some things we can do to make our 5 month stay more enjoyable. Here are the latest pics....

The "hood"

Our little bistro / dining area

In closing, I would just like to say that we truly appreciate all of you taking the time to follow us this year and share our journey. For the most part, it's been a fun and exciting adventure but ......we must admit...... it gets lonely on the road sometimes. All your feedback and responses have kept us in touch and gotten us through the low spots. If it weren't for our work commitments, we'd take off and visit each of you. I guess that will remain a dream for now.....but be pre-warned....someday you might just wake up and find us parked in your driveway!!!
Merry Christmas to you and here's our wishes for a wonderful and happy New Year!
-Cindy, Terry and Barklee
Happy holidays to you all, too! Terry, check your email!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a very lovely and "homey" home-site for the next 5 months.... we might just have to come visit!
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys are enjoying your travels - thanks for sharing. I hope business keeps up and that you all have very, very happy holidays!!!
That comment was from me, Alise... not sure how "blogger" got involved, but apparently I was only known as "A" there. :}
