Well….you probably thought we’d fallen off the face of the earth. But nope, we’re still here. And yup, still in Titusville. It’s been a wonderful couple of months (actually 5 months…hard to believe). We are happy to have experienced our first Florida winter. We have had some cool spells, but we know better than to complain after watching the weather up north all year.
Still not sure what the summer holds for us. We plan to stay with Terry’s current employer who has several parks we could go to. We are debating the prospects and hope to have a decision very soon. For the time being, we will remain here at least until after the next shuttle launch (now scheduled for April 29th).
We have made some awesome new friends. This has got to be one of the friendliest places on the planet! The joke around the park is that it takes 2-3 hours to walk the dog…..not because the park is so big …. but to allow for socializing. We have had such a great time here…..it will be so difficult to leave.
We have both stayed VERY busy. Terry has had some success selling lots (highest achiever in the company). My travel job has kept me extremely busy. I also am helping out at the park office on my days off (making reservations and arranging golf).
Had a great visit with Mom and Dad last month. They drove over from Austin and rented one of the park models here in the park. Managed to get out and explore some of the area including Kennedy Space Center, New Smyrna beach (found a great little beachside bar/restaurant), Canaveral National Seashore ….even found a place with some incredible gator viewing! We enjoyed evenings on their screened in porch and (of course) Mom’s fantastic cooking. We also had spectacular sunset rocket launch one evening!
And dut-da-dada!! We have a new home. Our 2001 coach was quickly becoming a money pit so we started looking around a few months ago. Long story short, we lucked into an incredible deal on a 2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador. It is slightly larger than the Endeavor and has 3 slides and 1.5 bathrooms. It’s very warm and homey. So here are the long awaited pictures –
Of course…..like all RV’s…..it’s a work in progress. We (aka Terry) have been cleaning and doing repairs everyday since we got it. Last night, we finally stopped just in time to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever witnessed…..
So that’s about all the news for now. Hope all is well with all of you. Keep those comments and emails coming!
Was beginning to wonder... Like the new digs!
